Short answer

Propler's AI search lets you describe your offer or ideal customer in ordinary words instead of building filters. It searches about 1.18 million entities in our copy of Enhetsregisteret, reads accounts and websites for the best matches, ranks them and shows the evidence behind each match. It covers Norway only, requires login, and the results are decision support, not confirmed buying needs.

The problem: you know your customer, but not their industry code

Most sales teams can describe their best customer in a sentence: "growing construction firms in Western Norway that are hiring site managers" or "logistics companies with their own warehouse that still run on spreadsheets". Turning that sentence into a list is the hard part. The Norwegian register classifies companies by industry codes, legal form, municipality and employee count. Those fields are useful, but they do not say whether a company is growing, hiring, bidding on public contracts or a plausible buyer of what you sell.

Industry codes also change. Brønnøysundregistrene and Statistics Norway introduced a new industry standard, SN2025, in Enhetsregisteret from 1 September 2025. It is based on the EU's NACE Rev. 2.1, and several older codes were split or changed. A filter list you built a few years ago may no longer match the same companies.

AI prospecting means starting from your description of the customer and letting software do the translation: interpret the request, search the register, look at the evidence for each candidate, and rank the results.

How AI prospecting works in Propler

In Propler's AI search you write what you sell, buy or need in plain language. The AI then:

  1. Interprets the request into search criteria such as industry, region and size.
  2. Searches the register for candidate companies.
  3. Reads the latest annual accounts and the websites of the strongest candidates.
  4. Ranks the matches and explains why each one fits, with evidence such as "hiring now", "open tender", "growth in revenue" or "industry fit".

The explanation is the important part. You can see why a company was suggested and decide for yourself whether the reasoning holds. An AI match is an assessment, not a confirmed need: a company that is hiring may still have no budget for your service.

What it looks like in practice

The examples below are hypothetical and show the kind of request that works well.

A Bergen-based IT consultancy looking for growing clients

The consultancy writes: "Companies in Vestland with 20 to 200 employees that are hiring developers or IT staff and seem to be growing." The AI search returns a ranked list where each company shows its evidence, for example open job ads from NAV's arbeidsplassen.no or the company's own career page, and revenue figures from the latest accounts. The consultancy opens the top companies, reads the reasons and saves the ones worth contacting.

An industrial cleaning firm entering a new county

A cleaning company in Trøndelag wants to expand to Møre og Romsdal. It describes "food processing and fish farming companies with their own production facilities in Møre og Romsdal". The AI interprets this into relevant industries and region, and the explanation for each match shows why it was included, so the firm can quickly drop companies that only have an office address in the county.

An accounting firm looking for companies that are outgrowing their setup

A small accounting firm in Oslo writes "limited companies in Oslo and Akershus founded in the last five years with growing revenue and more than five employees". The ranked results combine register facts (registration date, legal form, employees) with figures from the accounts, so the firm can focus on companies where growth is visible in the numbers.

Which Propler features support AI prospecting

  • AI search (Discover) at /explore: the plain-language search described above. Login is required to run it.
  • Free company pages: every match links to a company page with register facts, roles (board and CEO), financial figures where Brønnøysund has them, open job ads and tenders the company has announced.
  • Saved companies at /mine-bedrifter: keep your shortlist in one place.
  • Monitoring at /monitor (Pro and Business plans): follow selected companies and get notified when registered facts change, such as employee count, status or a new accounts year.

If you prefer to control every criterion yourself, the free company search lets you filter the register by industry group, county, municipality, legal form, employees, registration date and signals like open job ads or open tenders, without logging in.

Availability and plans

  • Market: Norway only. Propler does not search companies in Sweden, the United Kingdom, France or other countries.
  • Login: the AI search requires a free account. Company search and company pages are free without login.
  • Plan limits: on the Free plan you can unlock 3 prospects from AI search in total; paid plans show more. AI searches and AI analyses use credits. See current plans and what each includes at /priser.

Limitations to know about

  • No export or CRM sync. Propler has no export to CSV, Excel or CRM today. You work with the results inside Propler.
  • No personal contact data. Propler does not collect personal contact details for individuals. Company contact information (from Brønnøysund's open data and role addresses published on the company's own website) is shown only on Business plan and up.
  • Accounts are not available for every company. Limited companies must submit annual accounts to Regnskapsregisteret, but sole proprietorships only have to above certain size thresholds. For many small companies the AI has less to read.
  • AI can be wrong. It may misread a website or overweight a signal. Always check the evidence before acting.
  • Responsible outreach is your job. Norway's Marketing Control Act (markedsføringsloven) § 15 requires prior consent for e-mail marketing to natural persons, and sole proprietorships are often named after and run by one person. Check before you send.

Frequently asked questions

Is AI prospecting just a smarter filter?

Partly. The AI turns your description into search criteria, but it also reads accounts and websites for the best matches and explains why each company fits. You can still check every result against the register facts on its company page.

Does Propler's AI search cover companies outside Norway?

No. Propler searches Norwegian companies only, from our copy of Enhetsregisteret. Other countries are not available.

Can I export the AI results to my CRM?

Not today. Propler has no export or CRM integration. You can save companies in Propler and follow them with monitoring on Pro and Business plans.
