Propler – AI-Powered Business Discovery & Intelligence

The next generation of business discovery.

Business opportunities are everywhere. Finding the right ones shouldn't take hours of searching, spreadsheets and guesswork.

Where it starts

Stop searching through companies. Start discovering opportunities.

Norway's central business register holds about 1.18 million registered entities. Somewhere among them are your next customers, the supplier you need, or the partner already serving your customers with something different.

So there is no shortage of companies. The hard part is knowing which of them actually matter for what you are trying to achieve. That is the question Propler is built to help you answer.

The old way

Prospecting has been a puzzle scattered across ten places.

It usually goes like this. You open a company directory and filter by industry code and headcount, then export a list into a spreadsheet. You visit websites one by one to work out what each business really does. You look up the accounts, hunt for someone to contact, and try to judge whether they could possibly need what you offer. Next month, you do it all again.

Structured company data is valuable. A register tells you who exists, where they are and roughly how big they are. But an industry code says little about what a business actually needs. "Construction" covers everyone from a sole trader building decks to contractors with hundreds of employees. Both may be good customers, for very different reasons and very different offers.

The result is long lists with little commercial context, research done over and over, and gut feeling doing the work the data didn't. Traditional methods aren't worthless. They are fragmented.

The traditional way

  1. 1Company directory
  2. 2Filters and industry codes
  3. 3Spreadsheet
  4. 4Websites one by one
  5. 5Financials
  6. 6Contact details
  7. 7Your own judgement
Many tools, lots of copying, and the actual judgement still made by hand at the end.

With Propler

I sell accounting automation. Find Norwegian companies that may benefit from it.

  • Relevant companies
  • Why they fit
  • What's uncertain
One description of your goal. Companies, explanations and next steps in one place.

A different approach

From company search to opportunity discovery.

The big shift is who does the translating. Before, you had to turn a business goal into industry codes and filters yourself. With Propler, you describe the goal in your own words. The system does the translation and shows you its reasoning.

Traditional search

"Find companies in this industry with 20–100 employees."

Discovery with Propler

"I sell accounting automation. Find Norwegian companies that may benefit from it."

    Identify industries and segments

Relevant industries are proposed and checked against the codes the register actually uses. Choosing buyer segments based on what your offer suits is in development.

Our commercial intelligence vision

A good recommendation needs more than an industry code.

Picture two sellers. One offers a simple subscription for a few hundred kroner a month. The other sells a system implementation that takes six months. Both sell to "businesses", yet their customers have almost nothing in common. The first may be best suited to the many small firms. The second needs an organisation with budget, project capacity and someone who owns the decision.

That is why we are working towards a Propler that understands more than who exists. It should understand what companies sell and buy, how industries purchase, which problems a product solves and how company size changes what fits. It should also understand how procurement works, which signals may point to a need, and how competition shapes a market's attractiveness.

A small company and a large enterprise can both be the right buyer, for different reasons. The goal is for Propler to explain that difference. Larger companies are not automatically better prospects, and an industry code alone does not prove a need.

An assessment with reasons

Layers marked "In development" are part of our roadmap. They are not a finished feature of the product today.

How it works

Facts, interpretation and opportunity are three different things. We keep them apart.

Propler combines open, structured data about Norwegian companies (the central business register, filed accounts, job ads from NAV and public tenders from TED) with a language model that interprets what you write and assesses the best matches. Work already done is reused, so the same question doesn't have to be researched from scratch every time.

The most important principle: you should always see what an assessment is based on. We separate three layers:

  1. 1

    Verified company facts

What public registers and filed accounts say, with source and date.

"42 registered employees. Revenue 2025: NOK 61 million."

  2. 2

    AI-supported interpretations

What those facts probably mean for your specific goal, with reasons and uncertainty.

"Hiring in finance now – may point to a growing back office."

  3. 3

    Possible opportunities

A suggestion of who may be worth investigating, and what to check first.

"Find out who owns the finance function before reaching out."

Recommendations are decision support. They are not a guarantee of sales or proof that a company will buy. Propler cannot see a company's internal purchasing plans. We show what public data suggests, and what remains unknown.

Who it's for

From your first ten customers to a brand-new market.

Propler isn't only for large sales teams. A small consultancy looking for its first customers should see the value as quickly as a larger organisation exploring a new market. The examples below illustrate what you can ask. They are not customer stories.

  • A small consultancy

    Illustration

"I provide IT services and want to find relevant Norwegian businesses."

Gets suggested industries and companies with a reason for each, and saves the most promising ones.

  • A B2B software company

    Illustration

"We sell project management software and want to find promising customer segments."

Sees which industries stand out, then uses the market overview to compare size and growth.

  • A procurement team

    Illustration

"We need potential packaging suppliers in Norway."

Searches in supplier mode and gets companies that describe themselves with what you need, plus what to ask them for.

  • A business development team

    Illustration

"We want to understand the opportunities in a new market."

Gets an overview of the number of players, their size and the largest companies in an industry and county.

  • A marketing agency

    Illustration

"We want companies that fit our ideal customer profile."

Describes the profile in plain words, including location, size and financials, and sees which companies match.

  • A manufacturer

    Illustration

"We want to find potential distributors and partners."

Searches in partner mode for companies that serve the same customers with something different.

What a search can look like

Illustration

I sell HSE software to trade businesses in Western Norway

  • Example company A

    Electrician · Bergen · 25 employees

    Strong match

Does installation work for business customers and is hiring now. More people in the field usually means more need for shared HSE routines.

    • Hiring now
    • Growing
  • Example company B

    Plumber · Voss · 8 employees

    Possible match

A small but stable firm with people out on jobs. A simple system may fit, but how they handle HSE today is unclear.

    • Accounts filed
  • Example company C

    Building contractor · Stord · 60 employees

    Unclear

The industry fits, but we know too little about their current tools. Check that before reaching out.

    • Tenders last year

What you get

Spend less time searching. Spend more time pursuing the right opportunities.

We don't promise a number of hours saved or a guaranteed hit rate. What we can promise is a better way of working:

  • Less repetitive research

Facts, financials, jobs and tenders in one place instead of ten browser tabs.

  • More focused prospecting

Start with the companies that actually look relevant, and see why.

  • Better targeting

Describe your goal in your own words instead of guessing industry codes.

  • A faster first view of a market

See how many players there are, how big they are and who is growing.

  • Better-informed decisions

Every assessment shows what it rests on, and what is uncertain.

  • A clear path to action

From search to saved company, analysis and follow-up, in one tool.

Why Propler exists

A world of opportunities. Still separated by borders.

The idea for Propler grew out of the Pakistan Tech Summit. It made clear how hard it is for capable businesses to find customers, partners and opportunities on the other side of a border. The skills and the ambition were there. What was missing was a simple way to see which companies in another country are actually relevant, and why.

A software company in Lahore, a manufacturer in Izmir and a wholesaler in Lyon run into the same problem: the company data exists, but it is scattered, in another language and without commercial context. An industry code says what a company is registered as, not whether it is a realistic customer for your particular offer.

So we start with one market where the data is open and good, Norway, and build a way of discovering opportunities that can travel to more countries. People anywhere in the world can already use Propler to find and check Norwegian companies. Companies in other countries are not searchable in Propler today.

A European ambition

Built with a European perspective. Starting with Norway.

Many of the most interesting opportunities lie across a border: new customers in an unfamiliar market, a supplier next door, a partner already where you want to be. That takes local company information you can trust, and a way to compare markets without starting from zero each time.

Today, Norway is the only market available in Propler. Sweden, the United Kingdom and France are planned, and the architecture is built for more countries, but we launch a country only when its data is good enough. Public EU tenders (TED) are already read for Norwegian buyers.

What we believe

Business opportunities shouldn't hide behind fragmented databases.

  • Small businesses deserve powerful tools too.

Whoever is looking for their first ten customers needs good insight more than anyone. It shouldn't take an analytics department.

  • Data becomes useful when it has context.

An organisation number is a fact. What it means for your particular offer is insight. That is where the value is.

  • AI should sharpen your judgement, not replace it.

We show what assessments are based on and what we don't know, so you stay the one who decides.

  • More leads is not the goal.

The future of prospecting isn't the longest list. It's understanding which opportunities are worth pursuing.
